In 2017, Yuki Suda left a 12-year career in architecture to open a coffee bar the size of a hallway.
She drew it on the back of an envelope: a 4-metre counter, 6 stools, one La Marzocco, a window onto Marchmont Street. Seven years later, that's still all there is. The original drawings hang above the espresso machine.
Coffee comes from Square Mile, one of London's best independent roasters. The sourdough comes from the bakery next door. The flowers on the counter come from the florist on the corner. Nothing travels far.
